Luna Park Sydney opened on the 4th October 1935 and has been closed for renovation several times since. Today it is one of the oldest and largest amusement parks in the world.
Luna Park Sydney has more than 20 rides and lots of other amusements. Be aware that some of the rides closes temporarily due to maintenance. You can see which rides are open and closed on the parks’ official website.
Entry price and tickets
The entry prices in Luna Park Sydney range from $25 – $57 for the daily passes. Buying you tickets online will save your $2 – $4 per pass. There are three different passes: red, green and yellow. They are bases on the wearers height, so that small children pay less than higher children and of course also adults.
Annual passes are also available. They range from $109 for one year to $355 for 5 years. As with the daily passes the annual passes can be bought cheaper online.
They also have special deals on tickets like the “Mini money mondays” or “Twilight saver” tickets.
Opening hours
Luna Park Sydney is closed tuesdays to thursdays and open fridays to mondays. During shool holidays it is usually open all days. The same goes for december and january where it is open almost all days.

Luna Park Melbourne has been in operation almost continuously ever since its’ opening in 1912. It is the oldest theme park in Australia and has had several million of visitors though the years.
Entry price and tickets
The minimum price for an entry ticket in Luna Park Melbourne is $5. This ticket only covers the entry, meaning that you will have to pay for each ride/activity you would like to try.
Another option are the daily passes that gives you unlimited access to the rides and acitivities in Luna Park Melbourne. They cost between $49.95 and $149.95 depending on your age and the number of persons in your group. All daily passes cover the $5 entrance fee.

Opening hours
Luna Park Melbourne is only open during the weekends and not during the week. It is also open on all Victorian school holidays and public holidays except Christmas day. It is not open during school term though.
